I think what she’s saying probably mainly applies mainly to middle class girls, but I like her idea of rejecting acadmic feminism and theory in favour of a feminism rooted in women and girls’ life experiences.

This documentary is streaming on Netflix. It is such a beautiful love story. For those who don’t know, Edie is Edie Windsor of the United States v. Windsor case about to go before the Supreme Court at the end of the month. If you know about the case then you know that the documentary does have a sad ending but I promise it’s not depressing.
